Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Capiñol app, made by Aleksandr Borisov, trading as Appshift (“we”). By using Capiñol you agree to them. If you download Capiñol from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
Your account
You can use Capiñol without signing in; signing in with Apple or Google keeps your progress safe across devices. Keep your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or older where local law requires).
How Capiñol works
- Capiñol shows YouTube videos in YouTube’s official player, with subtitles, translations and word explanations. Your use of YouTube content is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Translations, grammar notes and explanations are generated with AI and may contain mistakes. Use them as a learning aid, not as a certified translation.
- Videos belong to their creators. We don’t host, download or modify them, and a video can stop being available if its owner removes or restricts it.
Videos you add
You can add a public YouTube video by pasting its link. Only add videos you’re allowed to watch. Videos you add are private to you. We may limit how many you add per day and refuse videos that are too long, have no Spanish captions or can’t be embedded.
Capiñol Pro
- Capiñol Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly, sometimes with a free trial. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- The free version keeps working without Pro, with daily limits.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse Capiñol: don’t try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload it, don’t use it to download or redistribute videos, and don’t use it to break the law.
Content and intellectual property
Capiñol, its design, the Capi character, illustrations and text belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
Ending your use
You can stop using Capiñol and delete your account at any time in Profile → Your account → Delete account. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Disclaimers and liability
Capiñol is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
